Small Garden Design – Thornham
The photographs below showcase a recently finished project for a couple in Thornham. The brief was simple – to give the garden some TLC, keep it low(ish) maintenance and add a bit of WOW factor … and don’t forget remote control garden lights. Not a problem for Louise Barby – head of Garden Design at Balanis Gardening. This small overgrown courtyard garden was tranformed in 4 days. Louise and her team of gardeners and contractors have done a bit of everything here. The first job was to remove several old shrubs that had grown woody and unsightly ….
A new garden – just sit back and enjoy
After that – all the beds were stripped of all but a few plants including some nice old climbing roses. Louise’s design incorporated 3 x silver birch trees, hyrangae, pyracantha, several prairie grasses, 2 x bay standards, cyclamen and much more
Steel Lawn Edging and much more ..
The steel lawn edging was added around the existing lawn following some organic reshaping. The flower beds were treated to 2 tonnes of compost and 2 cubic metres of bark topping
Addition of Outdoor Garden Lighting
The finishing touch was the remote control garden lighting system – providing 4 light settings at the touch of a remote control
